Get to know the GLA!
The Glenwood Lake Neighborhood Association (GLA) has been bringing neighbors together since 1952! We provide a space for community discussion and action—whether it’s about our neighborhood or the larger New Rochelle area.
We’re especially proud of our history as one of the first homeowner associations in the country to promote, create, and protect an intentionally integrated community. Diversity and inclusivity have always been at the heart of who we are.
The GLA is a completely volunteer-run organization—we don’t enforce rules, but we do work hard to support and connect our community. Our board, made up of local homeowners, represents more than 300 homes in the neighborhood. While membership is optional, joining helps strengthen our community, and we would love to have you as part of it. We think you’ll love it too!
We also serve as unofficial stewards of Glenwood Lake. Thanks to our efforts, the park has nearly doubled in size!
